Shipwreck Union's homegrown blend of rock, roll and Motown soul makes a moody patchwork straight out of the head into the bowl. Singer/songwriter Nick Lucassian, who on guitar and keys, prefers emotional truth and feel-good melodies over pseudo-cerebral, overdone productions. His delivery is heartbroken and clench-your-fists passionate sometimes angelic and often outraged.
