Rainer Ptacek

Rainer Ptacek, or Rainer, or Rainer and Das Combo. A blues slideguitar virtuoso! of American (Czech) origin. He did mostly his own compositions, and he has been widely covered. See the Tribute Album "The Inner Flame" of 1997, where artists like Emmylou Harris, Vic Chesnutt and Robert Plant featured. Rainer often played with Giants Sand's Howe Gelb and with Calexico.
