Barbie's Almalbis' fame started with the band Hungry Young Poets and their first hit "Firewoman". Barbie moved on to form Barbie's Cradle with a couple of members from Hungry Young Poets (aka HYP). Their first single, "The Dance", became a hit due to its melancholic and folk sound. The band's popularity further increased after the teen soap opera from ABS-CBN, entitle "Tabing Ilog", used a song of the same from their debut album. Following on their success, they released their sophomore album called "Music from the Buffet Table". Read more on Last.fm

Barbie Almalbis was featured in the movie MTV Pilipinas Music Video Award 2006.
