Lindi Ortega is a country and folk singer-songwriter from Toronto, Canada, who returned to Canada in 2017 after working in Nashville, Tennessee. Her mother is of Irish descent and her father is of Mexican descent. Her first album, The Taste of Forbidden Fruit, was released independently in 2001. Her second album, Fall From Grace, was released independently in 2007. Lindi was signed to CherryTree Records in 2008 and released The Drifter E.P..
