Vladimir Horunzhy

A native of Kiev, Vladimir Horunzhy music career began at the age of 5 when he received his first piano lesson. Within two years, he composed his first original piece. He studied piano and composition at Lisenko Music School (similar to Juilliard School) and Kiev Conservatory of Music. An active jazz musician, Vladimir performed at Soviet jazz festivals in Tallinn, Moscow, Donetsk and throughout the Soviet Union. At age 26 he became principal conductor and staff composer for the Ukrainian National TV and Radio Orchestra in Kiev. Read more on Last.fm
