There are at least five bands called The Spades. 1) Roky Erickson's band before the 13th Floor Elevators, who first recorded "You're Gonna Miss Me" and "We Sell Soul." 2) a Florida psychedelic band later known as The Purple Underground http://www.last.fm/music/The+Purple+Underground 3) A rock 'n roll band from Eindhoven, The Netherlands. 4) Indie / Rock band from Peterborough, Ontario, Canada, fronted by James McKenty, with Josh "Chachi" Robichaud on the bass, and Thomas "Winchester" Street on the drums.
