Marilyn Chambers

Marilyn Chambers was an adult film actress who first came to public attention as the Ivory Soap girl on a box of popular detergent in the late 1960's. Shortly afterward she found a more lucrative career starring in adult films including her breakthrough film Behind The Green Door, directed by The Mitchell Brothers. She attempted to enter the mainstream when she starred in David Cronenberg's horror film Rabid in 1977 and she recorded a disco single, "Benihana", which charted briefly the same year.
