Dorothy Lamour (Born Mary Leta Dorothy Slaton in New Orleans, Louisiana, December 10, 1914 – September 22, 1996) was an American film actress and singer. She starred in a number of movie musicals and sang in many of her comedies and dramatic films as well. She introduced a number of standards, including "The Moon of Manakoora", "I Remember You", "It Could Happen to You", "Personality", and "But Beautiful".
