Ані Лорак (born Karolina Myroslavivna Kuiek, Ukrainian: Кароліна Мирославівна Куєк, 27 September 1978, Kitsman, Ukraine) is a Ukrainian pop singer and songwriter She appeared to be a strong front-runner to represent Ukraine at the Eurovision Song Contest on three occasions. Lorak represented Ukraine at the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest with the song Shady Lady and came in 2nd place.
