Robin Le Mesurier

The son of two of Britain's best-loved comedy actors, John Le Mesurier and the late Hattie Jacques, Robin Le Mesurier took up guitar while in school, and at the tender age of sixteen, turned professional. His involvement with numerous groups and studio sessions led to an extraordinary spell with The Wombles, a group of oversized soft toys that started out as characters in a series of children's stories and resulted in a string of hit singles.
