Cristian Paturca

Cristian Paţurcă (September 10, 1964 – January 18, 2011) was a Romanian composer. Paţurcă was born and died in Bucharest. He was the composer of a song called (Imnul Golanilor - The Hooligans’ Hymn) that inspired Romanians in their struggle against vestiges of the Communist government. The president of Romania, Traian Băsescu, awarded Paţurcă the National Cross in April 2010 for faithful service, 20 years after he composed the song. Paţurcă died on January 18 Read more on Last.fm
